The latest on Bounty

Wavertree Bounty has come out of her race at Salisbury very well, she has eaten up and all seems fine with her.

She was soon into her rhytmn after breaking well and was then shuffled back into last position, albeit that the field was quite tightly packed together and there wasn't a huge distance between first and last throughout the first 5f.  At the 3 pole she moved up from last into 6th place which turned out to be her finishing position. Even though she was tiring towards the end she stayed on well to beat the horse in 7th place by eight lengths.

In soft ground over a mile for the first time, with more behind her than in front, this was quite encouraging. As well as pleasing her jockey and trainer she earned a compliment in the racing post where they said: "The second division of the 1m maiden and it was another race where it paid to be handy .... Wavertree Bounty was one of the chief sufferers due to the lack of early pace and she stayed on well in the circumstances. This was an improvement on her initial run and she is one to become more interested in after her next assignment".

Chris would like to get one more run into Bounty this year, preferably on the turf if ground conditions permit and will be looking for suitable possibilities when he feels she is ready.
