Bounty declared at Newmarket

Wavertree Bounty has been drawn 2 of 10 in the Newmarketracecourses.co.uk Maiden Stakes at Newmarket's July Course on Friday Evening at 8.40pm. The race is a class 4 over 1m 2f for 3 year olds only and she carries the fillies weight of 8st 12lb against the boys at 9st 3lb and has Alan Munro as her jockey once again. With three unraced horses in the field and a maximum of two runs by some of the others she is the most experienced horse in the race with five runs under her belt.

John did make some more entries for Bounty at Lingfield and Windsor to take a look at what options were available but with a total of over 100 horses entered and with Bounty looking unlikely to get in John decided to go for the Newmarket race.

The meeting is the first to be held on the July Course this year and the going is currently good to firm, good in places with watering as necessary and a going stick reading of 9.0.

As the first of the Newmarket Nights there is the usual open air concert after racing and this one is the X Factor finalists.

Our usual arrangments apply for O&T badges with 6 complimentary and up to 14 at half price, which on this occasion is £14. We do need to inform the racecourse of the numbers so please make sure you contact Anne or David if you wish to attend.

There will be televisions showing the England v Algeria game.
