An unexpected run for Bounty
With 30 horses entered and a ballot mark of just 3 Wavertree Bounty needed 17 horses not to be declared to get into the race at Haydock Park at 8.55pm on Friday Evening, surprisingly this is exactly what happened and she has scraped in off bottom weight. She has been drawn 10 of 12 in the (51-70) Ideal Recruitment Handicap over 1m+ and will carry 8st 2lb against a top weight of 9st 13lb and has Silvestre De Sousa as her jockey.
The going at Haydock is good, soft in the home straight with a going stick reading of 6.7 and more rain likely on Friday.
Bounty has also been entered in a 3yo (46-60) Handicap at Southwell on Tuesday 3rd August. There are 23 entries with a safety factor of 14 and it looks like she would have a good chance of getting in.
