Peter Doyle, leading bloodstock agent, said in the Racing Post: “I’ve bought a few yearlings by Pastoral Pursuits, as well as the top-priced foal by him, and I am very happy with them all. They are very taking individuals in the sale ring, and the two-year-olds are very sharp, precocious sorts who have been working well for Richard Hannon.” As well as being popular with Richard Hannon the progeny of Pastoral Pursuits are in training with a lot of top trainers including John Gosden, Mick Channon and Richard Fahey.
After an initial period of quarantine on the outskirts of Newmarket after leaving the sales Wavertree Bounty went into training with Chris Wall at Induna Stables, Fordham Road, Newmarket. She has settled in really well and other than having a minor set back with a virus in the early part of the year she has progressed steadily. She has taken all in her stride, done everything asked of her and has shown a very positive attitude throughout.
Shares cost £1,000 each and it is hoped to be able to run the partnership 'all in' for a year.
