An update and another entry for Warrior

Wavertree Warrior has come out of his Lingfield race absolutely fine. Nick was pleased with the run but felt that the bumping that Warrior got on the final bend and the subsequent loss of momentum probably cost him 1st place.

Once Warrior got back into his rhythm and made his move to the front of the pack, in the centre of the course, he looked all over the winner, however unusually it proved not to be the best place as Binnion Bay with his 9lb advantage slipped by him on the rail to register his 11th win and 7th at Lingfield by just a head.

Warrior seemed full of himself afterwards and with his blinkers on he probably didn't realise he had been headed.

The Racing Post said that he "looked to be arriving with a winning run in the last furlong but was mugged by a rival on the blindside."

Nick has looked through the calendar for suitable races to target in the near future and the only (0-60) in almost a months time is at Wolverhampton on Monday 1st March. Whilst this is earlier than we would ideally be aiming at Nick would like to run him in this category and may decide to compromise if he thinks the race looks OK.

Warrior is one of 36 entries in the (46-60) Sponsor a race Handicap over 1m+ at Wolverhampton on Monday 1st March timed currently at 3.40pm. The race is the first preference to divide and as top weight he would be guaranteed to get in.
